Formula E and ORF confirmed that the ABB FIA (International Automobile Federation) Formula E World Championship will continue to be broadcast on Austria’s largest free-to-air television network for at least another three seasons.
The partnership between Formula E and ORF dates back to 2016 and the deal allows that the championship will be on free Austrian channels until the end of season number ninth.
The broadcasts will continue to show each qualifying session and E-Prix live on ORF1 and ORF Sport +. Likewise, it will have coverage from the scene of the events in order to provide headlines and exclusive interviews with the teams and drivers.
Formula E Media Director Aarti Dabas said that the competition has built a fan base in Austria and that was one of the reasons they continued the partnership with ORF.

“We are delighted to continue our partnership with ORF into and beyond our first season as an FIA World Championship,” Dabas added.
On the other hand, the director of ORF-TV Sports, Hans Peter Trost said he was thinking about the problems of climate change and that’s because it is important to continue with the partnership. “Awareness and exciting motor racing is a perfect mixture for a public broadcaster,” he said.
