E1 Series is taking shape towards its debut in 2023, when the first 100% electric boat category will make first incursion on waters, because after introducing the RaceBird in full size, the division of Alejandro Agag and Rodi Basso will count on International Insurance Group (IIG) as official insurance provider.
This was revealed by the sustainable division of the ocean through an official statement detailing key aspects of the partnership between the two brands, with the aim of enhancing mobility and green awareness and taking it to the next level in the maritime territory, one of the motorsports areas that had yet to be electrified before Agag and Basso took the initiative.
IIG has three founding partners recognized on the insurance market. André Azzi, Elie El Khoury and Carlo Boutagy are behind the project, and the union with E1 Series is part of a new stage towards new horizons that may increase their company’s good image that has been reflected in the world over the years.
“We are all delighted at International Insurance Group to partner with E1 as their official insurance provider and be part of this incredible new racing concept since its inception. As key advocates of risk management, we look forward with great anticipation to seeing how the high-stakes action unfolds on the water,” said Azzi.

“We are delighted to have secured a partnership with IIG to ensure that we have the best insurance product provider customized to our unique needs. It is the start of an exciting journey together with this fantastic team,” said Yanni Andreopoulos, E1 Series Commercial and Marketing Director.
This is a very important step for the powerboat category. While everyone is focused on the attraction and sensation generated by the official unveiling of the RaceBird in Monaco, the search of big brands to generate partnerships is essential to give a long life to the competition.
