Roborace, the world’s first series of 100% electric full-size drone cars, has joined the cryptocurrency universe after entering into an alliance with Wakatta, a blockchain developed by Sensorium DLT, in order to add tradable assets to the Racing Metaverse platform.
An NFT (No Fungible Token), is basically any digital file that has a commercial value into the cryptocurrency network, i.e., an image, video or GIF with a code programmed to identify it on the blockchain, can be part of the growing world of NFTs.
Following the tie-up, the companies will explore how to add Wakatta’s innovative features, including new types of perfectly updatable, time-limited and hash-free NFTs, into the Roborace Metaverse. In fact, thanks to this link, users of the racing series will have access to social and updatable NFTs, thus facilitating trading on the platform.

“We designed Wakatta to meet the challenges of the future and are delighted to join forces with an ambitious and technologically advanced company like Roborace to accelerate impact. Our platform makes this possible by providing our partners with new types of NFT on top of a world-class network. In addition, the launch of this partnership certainly speaks to the power of innovative offerings such as upgradable NFTs, and we look forward to seeing how the Roborace community will benefit from them,” said Alex Blagirev, project lead at Wakatta.
Currently, NFTs are recognized for being designed as the latest technological breakthrough in terms of the blockchain, to unleash various applications to generate and develop a new range of opportunities for real-life digital environments.
“Innovation is a central tenant for Roborace. We developed the Roborace Metaverse to combine the best of real-world racing with the endless opportunities of virtual worlds. We are always on the lookout for cutting-edge technology to incorporate into our cars and now, of course, into our metaverse as well. Thanks to our partnership with Wakatta, we will be able to expand our digital reach and offer our fans new ways to participate in the community and help build the Roborace metaverse,” said Mike Sokolov, director of Roborace.
