António Félix da Costa (TAG Heuer Porsche) clinched his second win of the season 10 at the Shanghai E-Prix Round 12 after leading all the way to the finish line, with NEOM McLaren newcomer Jake Hughes closely following him onto the podium. Andretti’s Norman Nato completed the final step after securing third place.
Da Costa maintained an advantage over his competitors at the front of the pack halfway through the race, and after making the decisive move to take the lead on lap 16 at OTAN, the Porsche displayed the pace, performance, and efficiency needed to stay composed.
Hughes had secured Julius Baer Pole Position by a minimal difference of just 0.001 seconds in qualifying. The NEOM McLaren driver had his sights set on more than one debut podium during the first half of the race.

However, intense battles with competitors like championship leader Nick Cassidy (Jaguar TCS Racing) kept him on his toes. Ultimately, reaching that debut podium was the highlight of his performance in the race.
The Rest of the Action in Formula E
Nato crossed the finish line in third place for the Andretti Team, maintaining the lead from the start of the race. As for Cassidy, he had to settle for fourth place after contact damaged his front wing later in the race.
Despite the challenges, this result was positive considering the context of the title fight, especially for his closest rival, Pascal Wehrlein (Porsche), who was forced to make a costly pit stop to replace a punctured tire after contact, taking him out of contention for the moment.
Finally, Jaguar TCS Racing showcased its strategic prowess with Mitch Evans closely following Cassidy across the finish line in fifth place. This result was a valuable haul of points, especially considering the overall team and manufacturer honours.
However, it could have been even better for both drivers as they finished the race with the feeling that they could have overtaken the competitors ahead of them.
