As days go by, more companies are dedicating their efforts to offer vehicles and charging infrastructures that allow mobilization with the environment.
In this sense, the American company Nikola, which since 2016 develops zero-emission cargo vehicles, has established an alliance with IVECO. The latter works in the “same” branch, in order to develop a project that involves hydrogen fuel stations in various towns in Europe, in order to feed clean trucks.
Although neither of the companies revealed details about the dates on which the execution of the infrastructure or financial estimates will begin, both were emphatic in ensuring their commitment to considerably increase the hydrogen supply points (For now, in Europe) through an extensive pipeline infrastructure.

“We believe this collaboration, in particular, presents a very compelling long-term fueling distribution solution that we expect to advance industry and overall market adoption of FCEV technologies,” said Pablo Koziner, Nikola’s president of energy and commercial.
Clear bet on hydrogen
Taking into account that more wind and solar projects are being carried out in order to obtain electricity, (if we start from this point) the possibilities of obtaining “green” hydrogen from water in a 100% ecological way are greater, which represents a generous way with the environment since in this way carbon emissions would be zero.
There are few companies that generate hydrogen in this way (from water), one of them being Nel Hydrogen from Norway. But taking into account that decarbonisation plans are progressing more firmly in most of the world, it is likely that the obtaining of H2 from natural gas will decrease, since the latter generates (although minimal) a percentage of CO2.
