Luca Filippi highlighted the work of his Romeo Ferraris – M1RA team after the start of the Pure ETCR season in Vallelunga, Italy.
“It’s been a really good weekend for us. I have to say a huge thank you to the team because we’ve had a long winter preparing for this. We had very good testing sessions over the past few months and since day one, the car has had no serious issues”.
The 35-year-old was among the favorites to take the first round at home when he achieved a battle victory in Round 1 and came third in DHL SuperFinal B to finish the weekend in fifth place in his Giulia. ETCR.
The Italian also commented that the combination of the Italian team Romeo Ferraris and the M1RA organization, who are working together for the first time, has been perfect so far.
M1RA is a Hungarian motorsport team based in Kecskemét, Hungary.

“It’s a very good combination. We are working as a big group together, with Romeo Ferraris – who I know well for the past year in WTCR – and with the M1RA group also, who are bringing a lot of knowledge,” he said.
Filippi added that in terms of engineering both teams have different concepts; however, they are testing and sharing to move in the right direction in the campaign.
Filippi got off to an excellent start to the weekend by winning his round 1 battle in his Romeo Ferraris Giulia ETCR; triumphing over Hyundai Motorsport N’s Jean-Karl Vernay and his teammate Oli Webb.
He finished the weekend in third place in DHL SuperFinal B to take fifth in Drivers’ points and the top-ranked of his team’s drivers.
