Marc Anthony’s Team Miami claimed victory at the UIM E1 World Championship event held in Puerto Banús, Marbella, Spain, where Erik Stark and Anna Glennon piloted the winning RaceBird amidst challenging race conditions.
The race was filled with tension due to turbulent waters. Team Brady, which had won the event on two previous occasions, was eliminated during the day’s qualifying due to a power cut in semifinal 3.
The drama didn’t cease in the final race 1, as Team Blue Rising’s hull sustained damage during the intense races, forcing them to withdraw from Final 2. Despite this setback, they managed to secure the fourth position in the overall standings.

Puerto Banús GP in detail
The dramatic scene intensified when Catie Munnings of Team Brazil experienced the same fate as Team Blue Rising, as her RaceBird also suffered damage to the front due to the intensity of the competition, resulting in the premature end of her race.
On the other hand, Westbrook Racing halted halfway through the race just before crossing the finish line in second place.
“Puerto Banús has certainly been a dramatic championship despite the serene Spanish surroundings. The races have been tighter than ever, we got some surprising results, and it was a pleasure to see the coastline filled with over ten thousand fans during the weekend,” said Rodi Basso, CEO and co-founder of E1 Series.
“It’s such a testament to the resilience and skill of the team pilots that they were able to adapt and navigate through the difficulties to produce an epic spectacle. Congratulations to Team Miami for their well-deserved victory today, and thank you to both Puerto Banús CEO Juan Núñez Insausti and Marbella’s mayor María Ángeles Muñoz for making this event possible,” Basso concluded.
