Back in mid-June, Extreme E reported on the cancellation of races scheduled to be held in Latin America, due to emergency situations caused by Covid 19 in Brazil and Argentina, two locations selected to host the fourth and fifth dates respectively.
The Amazon X Prix would be hosted in Pará, Brazil, while Patagonia was set to close the first season of the electric off-road SUV competition with the Glacier X Prix.
Now, the organization is studying possible new locations after the race to be held next month in Greenland on August 28 and 29..

In order to determine the possible locations, the board has decided to survey its followers through its Twitter account (@ExtremeELive) regarding where they would like the next Extreme E race to be staged. Furthermore, users must justify their response by explaining the environmental problems affecting the postulated area.
Canada, Russia, the Netherlands and Ecuador were some of the destinations receiving the most interaction in comments.
The series pilot, Christine Giampaoli Zonca, suggested Italy as a possible scenario for the third X Prix of the competition.
The cancelled South American destinations will be considered for the second edition of the also known as “Electric Odyssey”, according to its founder and CEO, the Spanish businessman Alejandro Agag.

The top of the podium for the first two races has only seen one team, Rosberg Xtreme Racing, accumulating a total of 71 points, followed by X44 team with 57 points and JBXE in third position on 44 points.
