Formula E: ROKIT Venturi Partners With Lukka To Strengthen Data Technology

The technology war on Formula E is intensifying. A few days ago, Jaguar Racing announced a major restructuring and alliance with TCS to innovate its entire structure. Then, Andretti secured the permanence in the tournament with the sponsorship of Avalanche. And now ROKIT Venturi has entered the limelight with a high-level partnership to strengthen its platform.

It is Lukka, a leading provider of cryptographic asset software and data for businesses, which is joining the electric category’s staff from 2022.

This partnership includes the placement of the company’s logo on the team’s uniforms, the drivers’ race suits, and on the all-electric race cars. In addition, it will provide data optimization services to ROKiT Venturi with the goal of improving operations and racing performance.

One of the Pioneers

The team has been part of the FIA Formula E World Championship since its inception, building a lasting legacy as the first manufacturer to join the series in December 2013.

Templates in this category use sensors that record large data sets to help inform and make decisions. Both ROKiT Venturi Racing and Lukka are data-centric firms that promote global innovation, sustainability and equality in their respective industries, making this partnership a natural fit.

Robert Materazzi, CEO of Lukka noted that Formula E is growing rapidly and is “incredibly exciting.” He noted that after meeting the team’s management, he realized the common ground and vision.

“There is strong leadership at ROKIT, it was obvious when we met. They appreciate the importance of tradition and have formed a group with a focus on data, strong values and a competitive mindset that seeks a challenge,” he added.

For her part, Susie Wolff, director of ROKiT Venturi Racing emphasized that Lukka has blazed a trail within the crypto industry with their data and technology expertise. “They relish the opportunity to disrupt traditional industries, challenge the status quo and ultimately try to change the way we live for the better,” she said.

He explained that as an electric racing team promoting sustainable mobility, they know the power and impact of industry disruption. “We are proud to welcome Lukka to the family and I have no doubt that their team of engineers and data scientists will bring tremendous value to our performance both on and off the track,” he concluded.
