Formula E and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) unveiled the next generation of racing cars with the new all-electric GEN3 Evo, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.82 seconds.
Benefiting from a list of innovative technical improvements, the GEN3 Evo, presented at the H.S.H. Prince Albert II Private Car Collection, will debut in season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E FIA World Championship.
Developed by Formula E and FIA specialists, the latest edition of the GEN3 Evo marks a significant leap in electric racing technology, with 0-60 mph acceleration 30% faster than a current F1 car and 36% faster than the GEN3 car.
Capable of accelerating nearly a second faster than its predecessor, the GEN3, which was the world’s first race car designed for street racing, sets an even higher standard in performance, sustainability and efficiency.

Technical Highlights
The FIA’s fastest accelerating single-seater racing car: capable of 0-100 km/h in 1.82 seconds (0-100 km/h in 1.86 s), 30% faster than a current F1 car.
Faster, stronger, more agile: performance enhancements providing an estimated 2% performance gain over the GEN3, equating to a qualifying lap approximately 2 seconds faster around the Monaco circuit, delivering world-class racing on any track.
Leaner and more powerful: an aggressive new body kit designed to be stronger, more robust and more aerodynamic, delivering closer wheel-to-wheel racing.
All-Wheel Drive (AWD): a first for a Formula E car, available during qualifying duels, race starts and ATTACK MODE. This feature maximizes acceleration and control, heightening the excitement of critical moments in the race and intensifying driver rivalries.
AWD enhances both performance and strategy, providing more exciting races for drivers and fans alike.
Improved grip: Hankook iON all-weather optimized tires that provide 5-10% more grip, made from 35% recycled and sustainable materials (+9% vs. GEN3 specification).
These new additions are specifically designed for faster and closer racing between drivers, giving fans even more action on the track and based on the world-leading GEN3 car specification.
