Following the success of Extreme E, the all-electric off-road series that has reached global audiences, Extreme H is positioned as a pioneer in the integration of hydrogen technology in motorsport, setting a new standard of sustainability in racing.

Mediaset has been a key partner in broadcasting Extreme E in Italy for the past four seasons, bringing environmentally conscious racing to millions of viewers across the country. Now, Mediaset will continue this partnership by broadcasting the Extreme H series.

Giorgio Giovetti, Head of Sports Rights Acquisition at Mediaset, commented: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Extreme E and expand it to include Extreme H. As hydrogen will play a vital role in the future of clean mobility, Mediaset is excited to bring this innovative motorsport to Italian fans.”

Extreme H: A New Chapter

The Extreme H series will maintain similar race formats and off-road locations but will introduce hydrogen-powered vehicles.

This clean energy technology will showcase how hydrogen can be applied in motorsport, setting new standards of innovation and sustainability in the automotive and energy sectors.

In this regard, Ali Russell, Chief Executive Officer of Extreme H, added: “We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Mediaset for the Extreme H series. Hydrogen represents the future of clean energy in mobility, and Mediaset will be crucial in sharing this next-generation motorsport with fans in Italy. Together, we aim to showcase the exciting possibilities of hydrogen racing while inspiring action towards a sustainable future.”
