Motivation
Mueller claimed to be very excited to join the Andretti Formula E team. “It’s a team that has been successful since the beginning of the championship, especially in the GEN3 era in its partnership with Porsche Motorsport.”
“Working with Jake, a former World Champion, is an honor and I look forward to the opportunity. I’m going to give my best to contribute to the team’s success and hopefully aim for some podiums and my first win in Formula E; that’s the goal. I can’t wait to get started.”
Mueller finished the tenth season with a run of four top-six results to complete his fourth Formula E campaign and his best result in the World Drivers’ Championship standings, beating the machinery below him on more than one occasion, with former ABT CUPRA teammate and Formula E champion Lucas di Grassi scoring just four points to Mueller’s 52.
In his 46 Formula E appearances, the 32-year-old has one podium (Valencia, season 7), two fastest laps, and has led 13 laps.
In addition to his Formula E success dating back to his official rookie test in Marrakech, Mueller has been an official factory driver for Audi, won the prestigious 24 Hours of Nürburgring (2015), and fought for the DTM title twice (2019, 2020), winning nine races and standing on the podium 24 times.
In addition to the Swiss driver’s varied sporting career, he has also competed in the World Endurance Championship, World Rallycross, GT Series, and Stock Car racing.
