Avalanche Andretti has confirmed the driver line-up for the ABB FIA Formula E season 8, as Oliver Askew was recently announced as the driver chosen to be behind the wheel of the single-seater, where he will partner Jake Dennis, and together they will try to achieve the organization’s goals.
In this way, the United States reaches a milestone at the top category of electric motorsport, as Askew will become the first driver from that nation to be full-time at the FIA division, besides being the only American on the grid of the upcoming campaign.
“We are happy to welcome Oliver to the Andretti family to complete our Formula E driver lineup. We had great success with Oliver in 2019 when he won the Indy Lights Championship with us, and we look forward to introducing him to this category,” said Michael Andretti, CEO and president of Andretti Autosport.

Oliver Askew’s characteristics captivated the team to go for him. Fast, meticulous, intelligent and cold are part of his formulas when racing, and Andretti expects him to apply all his knowledge to achieve the goals set and make history as an American driver.
“I am beyond excited to return home and join Andretti Autosport full-time again for the 2021/2022 ABB FIA Formula E ABB World Championship. I consider the Andretti family, plus being able to attack this chapter of my career with them represents more than words can describe,” said Oliver Askew.
