The ABB FIA Formula E ABB World Championship returns this weekend with rounds 13 and 14 of season 10 at the Hankook Portland E-Prix 2024, June 29-30.

After an exciting debut last year, the championship returns to Portland, for a doubleheader and the next chapter in the battle for the title.

In 2023, Formula E ventures into uncharted territory with its first visit to Portland, following previous USA E-Prix events in Miami and New York. More than 20,000 fans witnessed a thrilling spectacle with more than 400 overtakes and numerous lead changes.

Portland 2023 also saw some of the fastest speeds ever recorded in a Formula E session, captivating the crowd with non-stop action.

Nick Cassidy triumphed at the Southwire Portland E-Prix 2023 for Envision Racing, making a decisive move on lap 28 to secure his third win of the season.

The win propelled Cassidy to second place in the FIA World Championship standings, just one point behind Avalanche Andretti’s Jake Dennis, who crossed the finish line in second place.

TAG Heuer Porsche’s António Félix da Costa finished third in a race in which only seven seconds separated the top 17 cars at the finish.

In addition to Cassidy’s thrilling run to the finish after starting tenth, the Portland debut was a particular milestone for the U.S.-based Andretti team, where Jake Dennis secured the Julius Baer Pole Position and a podium finish on his home turf, before moving full speed ahead during the second half of the season to eventually take home the Drivers’ Championship trophy.

With one win and five podiums so far this year, they will be looking to build on a strong start to the season to replicate last year’s success.

As the end of Formula E’s tenth season draws near, Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans is on the brink of a historic achievement. After his recent win in Shanghai, Evans now has 12 Formula E victories.

A win in Portland would see him equal the all-time wins record, tied with Formula E legends Sébastien Buemi and Lucas di Grassi. Meanwhile, Evans’ current teammate and current championship leader Nick Cassidy has been on the podium eight times in just 12 races this season, and has a commanding 25-point lead over TAG Heuer Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein in second place, setting the stage for an intense battle for the top two teams when the championship arrives in the United States.
