Among the great attractions that the Extreme E will show in its first phase, it is necessary to mention the new idea of the locations and the reason that led them to select them.

There are going to be 5 tracks that not only attract attention for the challenge it supposes for the pilots, but for the awareness message that they will bring to the world about the climate crisis and its impact on vital spaces with so much importance for the environment.

The founder and executive director of Extreme E, Alejandro Agag has the main idea that is based on highlighting some of the environments threatened by climate change through electric races or emission.

Already seen in the avant-garde concept, you will see the 5 places in the world chosen to take motor enthusiasts, the roars of a competition that is likely to become one of the best all-terrain events in the world.

1. -Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia | April 3 – 4, 2021

Volcanic lava flows and ruthless terrain that will test the Odyssey 21’s stability will be part of the first race of the season. The sand is going to be one of the main drawbacks for all the teams. The temperature is a good new playing in favor, because since for March 2021 about 18 ° Celsius is expected in the place

Extensive periods of drought, accompanied by actions taken by humans such as deforestation, excessive grazing and the unsustainable use of the water, are listed as the main acts that led to Al-Ula to be one of the worst beatens lands on the Asian continent.

2.    Lake Retba, Senegal | May 29-30, 2021

Located on the west coast of Africa, the Pink Lake will be the representative of the marine environment of the first season of Extreme E. The temperature will rise considerably compared to the first race (26 ° Celsius) and the sand will be unforgiving with the cars and mechanics of the teams.

Its landscapes will surely be a delight for the spectators. Oil spills and the amount of plastic that currently lurks in the ocean are causing, and every day more aggressively, that fish populations are on the brink of collapse, endangering the marine life and food security of the communities that depend on it.

3.-Kangerlussuaq, Greenland | 28-29 August 2021

The huge glaciers and gravels will surely cause great damage to cars in Greenland. Additionally, the pilots will have to deal with the 8° weather, and the unstable and deceptive covers.

The Arctic is a crucial territory for balancing the global climate, as it functions as a huge reflector that bounces some rays of the sun into space, it helps by regulating the global temperature.

Unfortunately, climate change has impacted in such a way that the disappearance of sea ice is accelerating daily.

4.-Pará, Brazil | October 23 – 24, 2021

The Pará jungle has been chosen as the first location in South America, and provides the maximum temperature that pilots and SUVs will face (about 35 °) despite the conditions of the terrain, which seem to be the least complex of the entire season.

It is important to mention that storing more carbon than any other biotic area on earth, rainforests contain about half of all terrestrial species.

But over the years, this species have been victims of forest fires and deforestation. They have also suffered biodiversity losses and changing climates.

Also known as “La Tierra del Fuego”, this location will turn to low temperatures. Just over 8 ° to be exact. But in this case, the real nightmare of the drivers will be the snow-capped mountains and a large number of trees.

5.-Patagonia, Argentina | December  11 – 12, 2021

Known as “The Land of Fire”, this location will turn to low temperatures. Just over 8 ° to be exact. But in this case, the real nightmare of the drivers would be the snow-capped mountains and a large number of trees.

The recession of the glacier margin and the loss of small mountains of it, are some of the main problems affecting the Andes mountain range, from Venezuela to Patagonia.

It should be noted that experts will guarantee the minimization of the environmental impact by tracing of the map of the track.
