They have done it one more time. Molly Taylor and Johan Kristoffersson of the Rosberg X Racing team won the Ocean X Prix, after having done the same in Saudi Arabia on April 3-4. On this occasion, the show counted four squads in the final phase.
Second place on the podium went to Veloce Racing, made up of Jamie Chadwick and Stéphane Sarrazin (+14.67), while third place went to JBXE, represented by Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky and Kevin Hansen.
At the bottom of the final race, and surprisingly, were Cristina Gutiérrez and Sébastien Loeb, the faces of the Hamilton team. The latter, has lost another final with his archrival, Nico Rosberg.

It should be noted that X44 had started first in the last race, after triumphing in the qualifying round, where he played an incredible role. But an unfortunate incident when Cristina tried to go for the lead, put him out of the race.
The race
Although the Pink Lake could not be of this color due to the time of year, and, therefore, give a visual extra to the show, the teams have been in charge of offering emotions to the maximum. Gutiérrez, had started the race with a great foot, but a little touch with Taylor took her away from her aspirations. Åhlin-Kottulinsky always showed signs that she could reach the home stretch alive and fighting for the win, but a rear suspension malfunction pushed her to the same status as Cristina.
The last lap only had two drivers fighting for the win: Johan Kristoffersson and Jamie Chadwick. During the final minutes, Johan made the electric motor of his Odyssey 21 roar at full blast, allowing him to make enough of a difference to clinch the win.
So are the positions
With 71 units, the Extreme E standings are led by the winning team of the first two races, Rosberg Xtreme Racing. Cristina Gutiérrez and Sébastien Loeb from X44 follow suit with 57 points. The third place belongs to Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky and Jenson Button who accumulate 44 points.
Below, you can see how the rest of the classification is going:
4th Andretti United: 37 points.
5th Hispano Suiza Xite Energy Team: 37 points.
6th ACCIONA Sainz XE Team: 36 points.
7th ABT Cupra XE: 35 points.
8th Veloce Racing: 31 points.
9th Segui TV Chip Ganassi Racing: 30 points.
Decrease in accidents
In the inaugural race of Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia, accidents were the protagonists of both days. On this occasion, imperfects such as those presented by Cristina Gutiérrez, Åhlin-Kottulinsky and the ACCIONA team in general, did not allow the dispute to proceed with complete normality.
However, being just the second dispute in a championship that has just been released, Extreme E looks like it will reign not only in electric vehicle racing, but in the entire motorsport universe.
The third Extreme E race called the Artic X Prix will be held in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland between August 28 and 29.
