Formula E announces a World Premiere for an FIA Championship by holding a dedicated test session for female drivers in the electric series’ tournament.
The category reported that the first all-female test session for an FIA Championship will take place on Thursday, November 7 at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, as part of the pre-season testing program.
The first test of its kind in the all-electric championship offers elite female drivers the opportunity to drive the new GEN3 Evo race car for season 11 (2024/25), which is capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.82 seconds, 30% faster than a current F1 car.

The car will also be tested during the same week by the 11 world-class racing teams and 22 drivers currently competing in the series.
Regulations
Each of the championship race teams will be required to field at least one female driver for the half-day test, but are encouraged to field two, who will all drive in current season cars.
With all women on the track at the same time, the session creates a tangible platform for a broad group of elite drivers who would not otherwise have the opportunity to drive machines at this level.
The event aims to provide women with not only a destination, but also a pathway to develop their careers and skills using today’s technology to its full potential.
While at the Valencia race track, the drivers will participate in multiple media opportunities, including press conferences, briefings, interviews and capture content for broadcast and social media on behalf of Formula E and their respective teams.
