With less than a month to go until the start of the eSkootr Championship, the organization revealed in an official press release that the 2022 season will be broadcast live by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on its sports platforms, as well as on BBC iPlayer.
From May 13-14 at Printworks London, the 100% electric scooter category will debut with 10 teams, 30 riders and a demanding circuit that will be attended by fans. Those who have run out of tickets will be able to opt for the option offered by the BBC to enjoy the event.
The television network will broadcast the final on Saturday night, May 14. A panel of experts, commentators and presenters will introduce the public to what the championship is all about, who the riders are, the format and other updates they should know before watching the race itself.

The agreement has not only been for the UK debut, but the BBC will also provide coverage of the upcoming eSkootr Championship events: Switzerland, France, Italy and the United States, where the renowned British media outlet will employ eSC’s software for its broadcasts, which has been developed by Canadian production company, Boombox.
“We are looking forward to giving fans the first taste of the eSkootr Championship and introducing our new way of racing. We want the championship to be accessible, so working with the BBC will ensure that the widest possible audience has the opportunity to watch the sport,” said Sharon Fuller, eSC’s director of content.
The short format of the championship tracks, the specially designed circuits, plus the S1-X scooter will work seamlessly together to make the television broadcast creative through creative camera angles and a production that hopes to deliver a unique racing feel.
