Looking at the premiere of the ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup, it can be said that there are very few details left to review, since less than two months and with the defined calendar, it only remains to wait for the debut of the competition, which will be during May 6 and 7.
At the end of December, the Opel Corsa e-Rally, the competition’s flagship car, carried out a three-day test program with a total of 1,500 kilometers completed, which translates as the longest journey to date made by the first vehicle electric specially designed for rallies.
During the mentioned program, two complete races were launched, in addition to special evaluations, liaison stages and service times. “It was an efficient and successful test,” said Opel Motorsport Director Jörg Schrott. At the same time, he regretted that some rally tests where they were scheduled to see the Opel Corsa e-Rally in action were not carried out due to the global pandemic.
