The so-called “team work” is essential to obtain positive results in sports as well as in everyday life. At NIO 333, they are living season 9 with the necessary chemistry to aspire to great things in Formula E.
The driver pairing of Dan Ticktum and Sergio Sette Camara is facing its first season, and so far their relationship has been perfect.
Russell O’Hagan, NIO 333’s Deputy Director, said that what stands out the most is how they are working together. “You never know, with the drivers, how they’re going to cooperate, and the most pleasing thing we’ve seen this year is how they interact with each other. How honest they are in terms of lines they take, bits of the track to avoid and how to maximize the car, which is quite unique.”

Workforce Priority
Beyond personal achievements, the boss stresses that the team is on a great journey in trying to take the next important steps forward.
“Obviously the individual performance of the drivers is a big ingredient. The fact that they are open with each other will pay dividends collectively,” O’Hagan stressed in statements to the official Formula E portal.
“There have been times in the reports where I’ve sat smiling and thinking, ‘Okay, this is it, this is pretty unique.’ That’s been really good for two mega drivers, so we’re really happy with them.”
Young and Talented
In addition to keeping O’Hagan happy, Ticktum and Sette Camara have also impressed Team Principal Alex Hui.
“Both Dan and Sergio are quite similar in age; they are 23 and 24 years old. For a young talent, they have proven to be very fast riders. We have the best riders we can get at the moment,” Hui said.
“We know they are both relatively young and inexperienced compared to other drivers, but they have great potential.” he maintained. NIO currently sits eighth in the team standings, with Sette Camara delivering the team an impressive fifth place in Hyderabad and Ticktum taking sixth place last time out in Cape Town.
