With just over a month to go until the start of Formula E season 9, teams are already beginning to reveal their cars for the event that represents the arrival of the Gen3 era.
DS Automobiles and PENSKE Autosport unveiled the new “DS E-TENSE FE23” in public, with new signing and reigning Formula E world champion driver Stoffel Vandoorne and two-time champion Jean-Eric Vergne present to show the charge for the new era of the squad.
DS Automobiles comes into the Gen3 era looking to build on its successes so far in the competition, with a pair of driver and team titles, plus benchmark records of 10 wins, 15 Julius Baer Pole Positions and a total of 28 podiums.
The French automaker partnered with PENSKE AUTOSPORT from season 9 and hopes its DS E-TENSE FE23, with that distinctive black and gold livery, will keep the team at the front of the grid.
The partnership is looking to target more wins and titles, as well as new brands, and they claim their continued involvement in the world’s leading electric racing series is key to accelerating their research and development work, with DS Automobiles‘ full consumer lineup going EV by 2024.
