During the six seasons of Formula E that have been carried out, we have seen at least five drivers lift the world title, as one of them managed to lift the disputed trophy twice in a row.

The seventh campaign to begin on February 26 in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, will surely raise a lot of expectation in the fans of electric races, because they will be able to evaluate whether the stoppage of action on the tracks due to the global pandemic affected their preferred drivers.

A brief review of the drivers who have won Formula E will be presented below, in which you will remember those who have achieved glory in the biggest electric single-seater competition.

Nelson Piquet Jr

The great potential he had shown in Formula 1, let him bright in the first season of Formula E (2014-2015) and with the Chinese team NEXTEV TCR, he became the first winner of the category with 232 points.

Sébastien Buemi

After winning the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2014 and 2019, the Swiss finished the second season of Formula E with 270 units, enough to give his first triumph to Renault.

Lucas di Grassi

This experienced Brazilian took the 2016-2017 title after collecting 268 points while representing Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler.

Jean-Éric Vergne

The combination of the Frenchman with the Techeetah team resulted in the only two-time Formula E championship, achieved between 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 with 264 and 222 units respectively.

António Felix da Costa

At 28, he became the youngest driver to win the competition. In addition, he represented the small hegemony of Techeetah, which adds a consecutive three-time team championship.
