The ABB FIA Formula E ABB Championship 2022-23 will make a historic debut in India this weekend, February 11, with the city of Hyderabad hosting Round 4 of Season 9.
After a pair of overnight races in Diriyah that produced a new qualifying leader and an overtaking masterclass throughout the second and third rounds of the campaign, the Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix Round 4 provides the next stop of the GEN3 era.
Round 4 will take place on what qualifies as India’s first street circuit, around the shores of Hussain Sagar Lake and through NTR Gardens, and marks a return of top-level FIA World Championship motor racing to the country for the first time in a decade.

Mahindra Racing will be the home venue and has 2016-17 Formula E Champion Lucas di Grassi and teammate Oliver Rowland in the cockpit for the Indian squad.
“It’s important for us to have a good race in India – not only for the fans, but also for the championship,” the Brazilian told the official Formula E website.
“It’s a new track for us, as it is for everyone up and down the grid. “It has to be a good weekend for us. We’re going to push hard and push to the limit to get the best out of the car. We are looking forward to seeing all the Indian fans out in force to support us and we want to give them a good show,” added di Grassi.
For his part, Rowland stresses that “heading to Hyderabad we know where we need to improve after a difficult weekend in Diriyah.”
“Having the home fans behind us will add to the motivation we have competing at the team’s home venue. We know they are going to be fully behind us and supporting us, which will give us the extra push to perform well.”
The 2023 Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix Round 4 gets underway at 15:00 local time on Saturday, February 11.
