The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns to Jakarta, Indonesia for a doubleheader this June 3 and 4, corresponding to rounds 10 and 11 of season 9.
The trip marks Formula E‘s second outing in Indonesia, home to 273 million people, a huge contingent of motorsport fans eager for another showcase of the leading electric racing series.
In 2022, Jakarta put on a great show, which is why Formula E immediately included it in the Gen3 era after breaking all attendance and viewership records on the channels broadcasting the event.

Evans Takes the Honors
Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing) overcame pressure from Jean-Eric Vergne and Edoardo Mortara to take his third win of season 8 at the time.
The Jaguar driver made a late lunge that caught then leader Vergne off guard at Turn 7 on Lap 31, an opportunistic move from long ago.
How’s the Season Going?
The title battle took another twist in Monaco as Nick Cassidy (Envision Racing) stormed to the top of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship by rallying from ninth on the grid to the race win on an intense circuit.
The race at The Principality was a true 150 mph chess match with the leaders vying for control and setting the pace of the pack, but Cassidy’s decisive early race moves delivered the final result.
Once his engineer gave the green light for a six-lap sprint finish, Cassidy didn’t look back, despite the attentions of Evans’ factory Jaguar. That left Cassidy 21 points clear of TAG Heuer Porsche’s long-time leader, Wehrlein, at 121st in the Drivers’ standings with podium finishers at the Principality Jake Dennis (Avalanche Andretti) – the Briton returning to form third – and Evans now fourth.
Jean-Eric Vergne in the DS PENSKE did enough for fifth place in Monaco, after an impressive recovery from the back of the grid to seventh to score good points.
Wehrlein had led the way since Diriyah but the German stalled in the closing stages to pave the way for Envision Racing to take the top spot in the electric single-seater series.
