There are more and more movements at Formula E for Season 8. This time, the team Mahindra Racing has confirmed the signing of the British Oliver Rowland, joining from Nissan e.dams to complete the grid with Alexander Sims.
Rowland, who comes from a discreet season, two podium finishes with no victories, and finished 14th with 77 points.
Alexander Lynn, on the other hand, has been sacrificed by the team, where he achieved a victory and 3 podiums during the season, finishing 12th.
“Moving to a new team is positive. Of course, there will be a transition, but I believe that combining my experience at Formula E and the team’s results last season, we will achieve a lot together”, were Oliver’s first impressions.

Rowland’s Journey
It was back in the 2018/2019 season when the UK-born driver joined Formula E full-time through Nissan.
The first time Rowland drove an electric single-seater was precisely with Mahindra during the 2016/2017 campaign, although he failed to add units on that occasion.
Now, the experienced 29-year-old will be looking to make a turnaround on the second year, in which the category will start as World Championship.
Sims Remains at Home
Well-known for being an enthusiast of renewable energies and electric cars, Alexander Sims is gearing up to face his third season at Formula E and his second with the Indian team, Mahindra Racing.
“There is a potential to achieve better results in Season 8, and we will be working very hard to implement the learnings from the recently completed campaign into the next one. I’m looking forward working with Oliver, who is clearly quite fast and a great racer,” Sims said.
So, the teams of the first electric single-seater series are setting up to face their last year with the second car generation, preparing the step to Gen3, which will start in 2022/2023.
