The Nissan Formula E team announced on November 6, 2023 its partnership with Coral for the upcoming ABB FIA Formula E FIA World Championship 2023/24.

Coral is a software company based in the United Arab Emirates, is specialized in carbon offsetting through the use of blockchain technology, bringing transparency and verification to carbon credit markets.

The partnership is one of the Nissan Formula E team’s steps to continue its commitment to reducing its carbon emissions, following the achievement of FIA 3-Star Environmental Accreditation from the FIA in 2022.

Reducing Environmental Impact

The automaker is also analyzing its environmental impact and seeking to accelerate improvements in green technologies in the world of motorsport.

In this way, the automaker’s team recognizes the importance of sustainability and the need for innovations in environmental management.

It ensures that Coral’s commitment to transparency makes them an ideal partner for the Nissan Formula E team’s environmental initiatives.

As part of this alliance, the company details that a scientifically proven greenhouse gas protocol and standards framework will be used to accurately assess the racing team’s carbon footprint and will implement a robust crediting scheme, providing full transparency on the team’s carbon offsetting.

In addition, the Coral logo will appear on the Nissan Formula E team’s two cars throughout the tenth season, as stated in the press release.

The goal of the partnership is to combine Nissan Formula E’s broad reach with Coral’s transparent and efficient platform to raise awareness of the impact of carbon credits, contributing directly to global decarbonization and a cleaner future.
