The three-week competition will require players to participate on the Esports Quest event, that will unlock the new F1 R3 Esports Challenger F1 R3 car. Once this car is on the garage, it is all about stepping into uncharted territory while racing the F1 Esports Time Trial in the Global Challenge.
Boosting Real to Virtual
The huge fan base of the motorsport’s top category has crossed over into the gaming world with millions of visitors to different digital platforms.
“Formula 1 is the leading Motorsport series in the World, and we are thrilled about continuing to deliver the most authentic content to mobile devices in Real Racing 3, but also the World”s first F1 RR3 Global Esports Challenge for gamers and fans,” said Joe Donoghue, General Manager of Firemonkeys Studio.
Ellie Norman, Formula 1’s Communications and Marketing Director, remarked, “We are very excited to introduce a F1 Esports event for Real Racing 3, while we continue building our presence on the mobile gaming scene.”
The F1 Esports tournament will be held until August 24, and is the category’s latest action, as it seeks to explore and increase its presence in both mobile gaming and eSports segments. The new event’s competitors will have the chance to win exclusive prizes, including Formula 1 race tickets.
