March 29, 2022 will be marked as a historic and important date for eSkootr Championship, as in addition to announcing the official lineup of 30 drivers, it unveiled important details about the inaugural race to be held in London, England, as part of the start of a new sport with big ambitions.

A new chapter will be written on May 13-14 for the sustainable history of motorsports. During an on-site event held at The Shard, eSC revealed that its first race will be held at the iconic Printworks London, where action, speed and adrenaline will be guaranteed.

The 600-meter long track will be entered and exited from Printworks London with 30 high-caliber riders aboard the S1-X, an electrified scooter with plenty of power that can reach over 100 kilometers per hour, with excellent aerodynamic tuning and ready to respond to the demands of the championship.

“We are delighted to announce that Printworks London, the iconic southeast London venue, will host the first eSkootr Championship race in just 6 weeks’ time. This venue will allow us to bring the world’s first micro-mobility sport to the heart of the city, emphasizing eSC’s commitment to reinventing the racing experience for fans while developing the conversation around safer, more sustainable and livable cities,” said Hrag Sarkissian, Co-Founder and CEO of the eSkootr Championship.

One of the important aspects when creating the circuit has been the visual factor, as making it aesthetically pleasing and exciting for fans of this new sport has been a priority for its organizers. “We have created a truly unique viewing experience for the fans,” said Khalil Beschir, Co-Founder and COO of eSC.

Lucas di Grassi, renowned Formula E driver, is also behind the championship as Co-Founder and Sustainability Ambassador. The Brazilian is excited that finally, the work of several years is down to a few weeks of waiting.

“We have been working hard to create a race series that excites and engages the public, but also promotes a broader purpose. I am a passionate advocate for greater sustainability in motorsport and global mobility, and I am proud to say that eSC has been carbon neutral since its inception,” he said.
