The wait is over and finally season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E has arrived. Diriyah welcomed the electric single-seaters under the artificial lights of the circuit, providing a real show from start to finish with several novelties and sensations on the participants’ side.

The protagonists of the show were the people who sat behind the wheel. Some with more experience than others, some favorites, others debutants. But the truth is that everyone gave their best effort to achieve the best result. For this reason, it is worth revisiting the best radio communications that took place in Diriyah.

In Round 1 on the Diriyah street circuit, the Mercedes-EQs of Nick de Vries, reigning Formula E champion, and his teammate Stoffel Vandoorne dominated the test to open the new season just as the previous one ended. The German team was superior during the race and managed to consolidate a 1-2 to start off on the right foot.

The race was also attractive for several rookies: Antonio Giovinazzi officially competed on the 100% electric single-seater category, finishing 20th, defending the colors of the DRAGON / Penske Autosport team. On the other hand, the American Oliver Askew managed to enter the points after seeing the checkered flag at ninth place.

In addition, the Porsche Taycan Safety Car also made its first appearance in the FIA’s electrified division after making headlines after learning that it would be the official safety car of the championship.

In Round 2, things changed a bit. ROKiT Venturi Racing gave a blow on the table with the victory of Edoardo Mortara and the third place of his teammate Lucas di Grassi. On the second step of the podium was Dutchman Robin Frijns (Envision Racing).
