Lucas di Grassi will return to the team with which he won the Formula E drivers’ title in season 3, ABT CUPRA, to join Nico Mueller in the driver lineup.
Di Grassi is among the most successful racers in the history of the ABB FIA Formula E FIA World Championship and is an ever-present in the series. ABT, under the guise of Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler, was the team that helped him reach the top spot in the drivers’ category.
The Brazilian returns to the team where he enjoyed a successful seven-year stint for the second GEN3 campaign and second CUPRA season in association with ABT.
Returning Home
“We are happy to have brought Lucas back to ABT; he was and is a good friend to our entire team and is one of the Formula E greats of the last ten years,” stated Hans-Jürgen Abt, CEO of the ABT Group.
Ten years ago, ABT was the first German team to join the championship and in 2023 it returned as a private squad after a one-year break.

Di Grassi has won the most trophies of all Formula E drivers (40), the most victories (13) and the most fastest TAG Heuer laps (12). In addition, he is one of only two drivers to have been on the podium at least. once in every season.
