Nico Mueller participates for the first-time full time in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The speedy Swiss returns with DRAGON / PENSKE AUTOSPORT for the first Formula E campaign with the FIA world championship title.
After starting his karting career in 2004, Mueller made it to single seaters in 2008 with Formula Renault. Here, the young Swiss driver took first place in the Swiss Formula Renault competition in 2009 with Jenzer Motorsport, having been on the podium in each of the 12 races.
In 2010, Mueller moved to GP3 and continued his relationship with Jenzer. He obtained his first victory in the category in the third round of the season in Valencia and finished the season in third place behind Robert Wickens and Esteban Gutierrez, who would be the champion.

In 2014, Mueller added the German DTM series to his racing history after securing a race with Audi Sport Team Rosberg, where he has remained ever since.
The pre-Formula E
Between 2014 and his entry into Formula E, Mueller enjoyed a varied racing career, in which he divided his time between DTM, Rallycross, GT and Stock Car racing.
Prior to the 2017/18 season, Mueller handled test and booking duties for Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler, making his Formula E debut at the Official Rookie Test in Marrakech in January 2018. There, Mueller led the way in the time table during the session and repeated the feat in the same test the following year.
Moving into a full-time career for Dragon’s 2018/19 season, Mueller teamed up with rookie Brendon Hartley for the team’s sixth season in the series.
