The second Green Racing Virtual Summit has arrived, the event that brings together the leading references of zero-emission motorsports to unveil and build future and present racing paths.
Electric vehicle competitions promote development for a more sustainable world, not only testing drivers’ talent, but also serving as research and technological developments centers for tomorrow’s transportation systems.
The Summit will take place on October 8, within the 10th South American Sustainable Mobility Summit, promoted by Latam Mobility, with outstanding drivers and company leaders promoting sustainable mobility in motorsports.
Racing and Gender Equality: A Reality
Electric races show a more inclusive and gender-equal concept. Extreme E, a 100% electric off-road SUV series launched last April, stipulates that each team must have a man and a woman behind the wheel and both must complete the same laps.
It was also recently announced a new international off-road electric motorcycle series, the FIM E-Xplorer World Cup, to be premiered at early 2022. This category will have 20 participants: 10 female and 10 male.
These regulations will allow the Green Racing Virtual Summit to have a female-driven panel called “Driving Gender Diversity in Motorsports: A Conversation with Women Leaders in the Sector”, featuring some of the most relevant drivers and supporters of green racing.
