Get to know all about the Energica Ego Corsa MotoR motorcycle

An oil-cooled permanent magnet motor, which can reach a maximum speed of 260 kilometers per hour, is one of the main characteristics that fans of the MotoE turn to see, when they see the description of the motorcycle that represents it and is heading to its fourth consecutive year in that category

The 225 kilograms of weight could perhaps be the only criticism of the motorcycle manufactured by the Italian firm Energica Motor Company. Although in contrast, it can be mention that it is a beast with 110 kilowatts of power that runs on a pair of Michelin tires.

Energica Ego Corsa has a high-voltage lithium-ion battery and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometer per hour in 3 seconds, which makes it clear that, if its body were a little lighter, this vehicle could have a displacement very similar to that of a Formula 1 or Formula E car.

Another of the attractions of the protagonist today is that it does not have a gearbox, since these are made by the pilot by an electronic accelerator, a method that is also applied to decelerate.

Charge time

This motorcycle can charge at 20 kilowatts up to approximately 85% of its capacity in about 20 minutes connected to direct current, which translates into 120 kilometers of insured travel in less than half an hour.

When the battery of the Energica Ego Corsa arrives it is charged from alternating current, it could charge in about 3.5, as long as it is connected to its OBC 3kW charger.

It should be noted that the current motorcycle supplier of the MotoE, Energica Motor Company, had the rights to be the supplier of the electrical category until 2021, nevertheless due to its effectiveness, the contract was extended until 2022.
