Mercedes-Benz has finally fully unveiled its ultra-luxurious EQS electric sedan after months of waiting. Last month, the German automaker showcased the interior of the EQS along with the wealth of features and technology inside the vehicle.
“The EQS is the first all-electric luxury saloon from Mercedes-EQ. With it, Mercedes-EQ is redefining this vehicle segment. The EQS is also the first model to be based on the modular architecture for luxury and executive-class electric vehicles. Fusing technology, design, functionality and connectivity, the EQS delights both drivers and passengers,” explained the brand.
The German firm has also confirmed the production specifications of the electric sedan that is equipped with a 107.8 kWh battery that, according to Mercedes-Benz, will allow a range of up to 770 km (478 miles) in the WLTP cycle.
The vehicle will be available in two versions when it comes to the powertrain: The EQS 450+ will be the first version available and is equipped with a single 245 kW rear-wheel drive engine. An all-wheel drive with 385 kW of power will be available later as the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC.
