Huawei is moving full steam ahead to fully enter the electric vehicle market with the contribution of its novel Inside technology. The announcement to focus efforts on the automotive industry has not remained in promises and, as part of the plan, the Chinese company has worked on the software of the new Avatar Technology car, the Avatr 11.
Inside the model is a Huawei processor that promises a computing power of 400 TOPS. The car has sensors and up to 3 LIDARs to provide autopilot functions. The company does not talk about full autonomous driving, but predictably, Huawei’s chip will help with the task of making these configurations.
The vehicle has HarmonyOS, the Chinese company’s own operating system. It should be noted that this software, in addition to working for cell phones, is also accessible for other gadgets and cars.
Prototype Features
Avtr 11 is a coupe-type crossover with a length of about 4.8 meters and four-wheel drive, with an electric motor of up to 262 hp. According to the manufacturers, the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in less than four seconds. The battery promises 700 kilometers of use on a single charge and has a 200 kW fast charging system.
There are no further details about the interior of the vehicle yet, but it is possible that the infotainment system and parking assistance functions will be integrated into a connected platform called CHN.

Following an all-out unveiling at the Shanghai Motor Show, the Avatr 11 is scheduled to hit the Chinese market by the second quarter of 2022, and production has already begun at Changan’s Chongqing factory. Among the direct rivals of this first car with Huawei technology are other high-end electrified cars such as the NIO ES8 or the XPeng P7.
The automakers aim to sell 4.5 million cars per year by 2030. By 2025, the manufacturer plans to introduce three other models and its factory currently has a capacity of 350,000 vehicles per year.
It is important to highlight that Huawei had previously presented its first bet in the automotive industry in the company of the manufacturer BAIC with the Arcfox Alpha S.
