After an unpromising first three months in terms of sales, data from the Spanish Association of Automobile Manufacturers (Asociación Española de Fabricantes de Automóviles y Camiones, ANFAC) showed a 108% growth in sales of electric and hybrid vehicles in the month of March compared to the same month of 2019.
ANFAC takes 2019 as a reference since they considers that the 2020 figures are affected by the confinement, which forced the closure of dealerships in several countries.
At the moment, electric cars represent a 2.1% of the total market. However, in March 2,721 units were registered; 53% more than in the same month of 2019.
