FORD wants to break the market with 17 million electric vehicles

The Ford brand announced that they would evolve their business style and bet on developing electric vehicles with internet connectivity and artificial intelligence, capable of producing loyalty in consumers around the world in order to obtain 7% of global sales.

Jim Farley, president and CEO of the company, who explained that the transnational business must take into account the customer experience and develop good products that really adapt to consumers. 

By 2025, the automaker plans to produce 17 million electric vehicles and for this year its goal is 1 million cars of this type.

“The company have plans to bet on electric motors, to have more capacity to carry out changes”.

Likewise, he highlighted the alliance between Ford and Google to accelerate automotive digitization and reinvent the connectivity experience in their vehicles, since Google Cloud will be its main cloud provider to take advantage of its data technology, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Farley said he believes Ford is ready to move forward into the new generation of connected vehicles. He touted the recently announced partnership with Google to make use of the company’s expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analysis as well as its cloud capabilities.
